Hi, I’m Niki Volz, and I’m so thrilled to be your guide through Oregon wine country!
A Vineyard Wine Tour was founded in 2016 by Debra Kabarsky, who poured her heart into creating unforgettable wine experiences in the Willamette Valley. When she retired, I was honored to take the reins and continue growing the business she built with so much passion and care.
I’m a proud native Oregonian, happily married to the love of my life, and mom to three amazing kids (plus one very spoiled dog, three cats, and two grand-dogs). I’ve called McMinnville home since 2008, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else — this region’s beauty and community inspire me every day.
My love affair with wine began when I joined the industry and got a behind-the-scenes look at how much artistry, science, and soul go into every bottle. The first time I watched sparkling wine being made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise, I was hooked. Since then, I’ve loved every part of the process — from harvest and production to the joy of sharing wines with guests who often become friends.
What fascinates me most is how the terroir of the Willamette Valley’s sub-appellations shapes each wine — a reminder that there’s always something new to learn, no matter your level of wine knowledge.
When I’m not “geeking out” over wine, you’ll likely find me cheering at my kids’ games, paddle boarding Oregon’s rivers and lakes, or enjoying time with my family and friends — the people who’ve supported me through this amazing journey.
